COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Community engagement contributes to more inclusive and vibrant places and processes, celebrating local knowledge. Studio CO’ works with partners to design and implement engagement strategies. Collaborative engagement strategies draw from nearly twenty years of experience in community-engaged design, plus several teaching community engagement to community development students and professionals. Studio CO’ also leads training workshops for community-engaged processes and design.
VISIONING + PLANNING
From mission development to neighborhood plans, Studio CO’ supports partners to develop visions for their organizations. Facilitation and planning expertise contributes to holistic planning processes and vision development at a range of scales.
DESIGN STRATEGY
Studio CO’ specializes in urban and architectural design in a range of contexts, from the rural Gulf Coast to Detroit neighborhoods, working closely with partners to develop design ideas and outcomes. Studio CO"‘ has extensive experience designing at the installation, building, lot, block, alley and neighborhood scale.
Cities and communities are increasingly grappling with the impacts of climate change on the built environment. Studio CO’ leverages past work on municipal sustainable infrastructure strategy and community-driven resilience planning to advise and develop resilient infrastructure strategy, from green stormwater infrastructure to community hubs to communications.
